Meg supports voter registration drive

Sheffield Heeley MP has welcomed the voter registration initiative taking place at Sheffield Foyer which provides accommodation, education and training for 16-25 year olds in housing need.  

Commenting on the initiative, Meg said:

‘I am delighted to be supporting Sheffield Foyer’s efforts to encourage its young people to register to vote. It is really important that we encourage all young people to play an active part in political debate, and voting is the must fundamental of all.’

The initiative has been organised by Sheffield Foyer’s umbrella organisation, The Foyer Federation, which has teamed up with the Electoral Commission as part of its campaign to make sure that young people are registered to vote.
