Race for Life

Meg took part in the 5km ‘Race for Life’ event in Battersea Park, London. The organisation ‘Race for Life’ holds events all around the country to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The first race of the year is expected to raise nearly £750,000.

Meg said:

 

"It was an inspiring event with hundreds of women running or walking the 5km on a lovely evening around Battersea Park. I was particularly pleased that my Ministerial colleagues, Tessa Jowell and Hilary Armstrong, also took part. I'm very grateful to all the people who sponsored me for this very worth-while event."
