Meg presents schools with new equipment

Thursday, November 24, 2005

Sheffield Heeley MP Meg Munn recently presented five local schools with their new computer equipment which they had won as part of the Tesco ‘Computer for Schools’ scheme. Woodseats Primary, Greehill Primary, Greenhill Nursery, Norton Free School and Abbey Lane Primary all took part in the scheme and received some fantastic prizes ranging from digital camcorders to colour printers.

Meg said,

“I was delighted to again present local schools with their new equipment. The scheme has provided extra computing resources to many schools in my constituency and I would encourage people to help their local schools by taking part next year.”

The scheme ran between March and May this year when shoppers at Tesco’s received a voucher for every £10 they spent which were exchanged for computer equipment. For any more information on how to take part or how your school can enter visit your local Tesco store or visit www.tesco.com.
