Meg visits Heeley Parish Church

Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Heeley MP Meg Munn recently visited Heeley Parish Church near Anns Grove School in her constituency. Whilst there Reverend Tony Patterson and Children’s Co-ordinator Carl Thompson discussed with Meg their proposals for new facilities to expand their community services. The church runs a number of groups, such as baby and toddler groups, which have been hugely successful but now need larger spaces to accommodate increasing numbers.

In addition, Meg was shown the grave of Sir Nathaniel Creswick, a co-founder of Sheffield FC. The club is the world’s first established football club and celebrated its 150th anniversary earlier this month.
