Springs Academy pupils quiz Meg

Heeley MP Meg Munn was invited to Springs Academy to talk to a group of girls about her job as the local Member of Parliament. The school is keen to raise the aspirations of girls and are inviting women from a range of professions to visit and talk to pupils.

 

The girls had lots of questions for Meg, including how she became interested in politics, how hard it was to get elected and what life is like as a Member of Parliament. The group also discussed the issue of MPs’ expenses currently in the news.
