On the beat in Woodthorpe

Sheffield Heeley MP Meg Munn recently spent time patrolling around Woodthorpe with officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Area (SNA) Team. She wanted to hear about the work they are doing to tackle anti-social behaviour.  Meg was particularly pleased that partnership working with local agencies is having a positive impact on the estate.

“Whilst out and about in Woodthorpe it was pleasing to see how well the local people are now engaging with the local policing team. The people I met said the estate had improved dramatically over the last couple of years, with improvements to housing, a new school, and an increased police presence being the major factors.

 

The local Safer Neighbourhood Area Team do a great public service. Their work is making a real difference in some of the most deprived areas in the city and I thank them for their hard work.”
