Meg agrees to “be the girl you want to be”

Sheffield Heeley MP Meg Munn recently met with members of the GoldDigger Trust who provide the “I’m the girl I want to be” course at Greenhill Methodist Church. The course is an opportunity for girls to get together, form relationships and speak about issues that affect them - from TV programmes to issues with self esteem. Made up of three experienced youth workers, GoldDigger promotes itself as a girl band, performing and teaching in schools as well as youth centres around Sheffield.

“The group promotes positive lifestyle choices and encourages the girls to ask any questions they have. It’s a fun way for them to feel empowered to explore and understand their own feelings and values. This is a great experience for teenage girls growing up with the pressures of today’s society.”
