Afternoon Bowls in Greenhill

Local MP Meg Munn recently met members of Greenhill Bowling Club for a spot of afternoon bowls.

Most afternoons there is usually a group of people at the green just off Lowedges Crescent, and anyone wanting to get involved is welcome to go along and play. Many members also enjoy playing in organised matches and visiting other clubs in the area.

Meg commented:

“I really enjoyed meeting the group and once I got stuck in I was actually pretty good at it. My team mates told me that they spend hours down at the green and once they start playing they don’t want to stop!

Bowling provides a social activity, particularly for the older generation, and is a great way of keeping fit. It’s a great way for people in the community to get together and enjoy some light exercise, not to mention it’s great fun!”
